Contrasting Indian Sandstone Patio
This patio has been created by us using buff riven slabs contrasted with dark grey specialist blocks and cobbled edging. In this project we were able to re use the slabs from the previous patio, regenerating them in a new style. Below is a picture of the area before we started.
This project shows what can be achieved with some initiative and interesting design ideas. By laying the slabs in rows rather than in a mixed pattern it brings out the curved design and by minimising the grouting gaps gives a much neater finish to the area.
You may also notice that the pillars, as well as being a unique design to the step, also serve as a functional storage space. By placing a slab on top of the area it also creates space for a plant pot adding more character to the area.
Below we have a pathway that was laid to customer specification, using the spare slabs from the patio to create a unique style pathway.
